After a thrilling run at The Public in 2022, SUFFS is moving to Broadway this season! And for one night only, The Public Theater and the Broadway production of SUFFS join together to celebrate one of the major artistic programs of The Public, Public Works. Conceived in 2013 by Lear deBessonet and now under the direction of Laurie Woolery, Public Works aims to restore and build community by connecting people through the creation of extraordinary works of art.
Shaina Taub has been an integral part of the Public Works program as composer, lyricist, and performer for TWELFTH NIGHT (2016, 2018) and AS YOU LIKE IT (2017, 2022). Join us and Shaina on June 4 to celebrate the 125 Public Works community members and alumni in attendance, including Andrea Grody (SUFFS Music Supervision and Direction), Nikki M. James (Ida B. Wells), and Lori Elizabeth Parquet (SUFFS Associate Director)!
