Health & Safety Policy Update

We are excited to welcome you back to The Delacorte Theater for our 60th Anniversary Season of Free Shakespeare in the Park. We ask that you read and understand the following when accessing tickets.

  • Effective April 19, 2022, The Public requires proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination to enter The Delacorte and attend performances. This policy will continue until further notice.
  • Complete vaccination is fourteen days following a final dose of the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, or Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
  • We will accept proof of vaccination via Excelsior Pass, the NYC Covid Safe Pass, a copy or photo of your CDC vaccination card, and/or a copy or photo of an official immunization record from outside the United States.
  • Face masks are encouraged, but not required while attending performances at The Delacorte.
  • Public Theater staff and artists are subject to a mandatory vaccination and booster policy.
  • All policies are subject to change at The Public’s sole discretion and without notice.
  • Those that do not abide by any health and safety protocols will be denied entry or removed from the facility.

  • All performances in Joe’s Pub do not require a face mask because food and drink are available throughout the show. A face mask is strongly encourage when not actively eating or drinking.

Mexican-American singer-songwriter and queer feminist activist Renee Goust presents her new show “Muertxs”, where she reframes Mexican Day of the Dead by observing it under the lens of the gun and gender-based violence. Through colorful and varied original compositions inspired by regional Mexican music genres, Renee and surprise special guests will take us on a journey to understanding how "nuestros muertos" (our dead) and "nuestras muertas" (our dead women) have come to embody two very different meanings in today's aching Mexican reality.

Join us for an evening of Renee’s new and never-before-heard songs of hope, strength, healing, and celebration, as well as her acclaimed classics that fill the streets of Mexico and other Latin American countries during feminist and queer marches.
